Übersicht
Die Regierungsgeschäfte von Cali Europe, ehemals Deutschland, wurden im Sommer 1992 durch den Regenten Donovius übernommen. Beobachter klassifizieren den mittelgroßen Staat als progressive sozialliberale Parteiendemokratie, bekannt für seine hohe Verdienstmöglichkeit und die niedrige Kriminalität.
Die Mehrzahl der genialen und vernünftigen Bewohner ist überaus glücklich mit den Verhältnissen. Sie genießen den Ruf, hedonistisch und fair zu sein, und erfreuen sich bester Gesundheit. Der größte Unterschied zu anderen Ländern besteht im Bereich Bruttoinlandsprodukt pro Kopf.
Cali Europe ist nicht Mitglied in einem Bündnis.

A public referendum on secession returned the state to its original status as a free republic. The position of Governor was elevated to President and California divided itself into four states: Northern California, Pacific Coast (Central Coast), Yosemite (Central Valley and Sierra Mountains), and Southern California. The national capital of California moved to San Diego from Sacramento after US CIA agents burned the old state capitol building and much of the city in a failed attempt to stop the secession vote. The terrible loss of life in the fire storm caused outrage in Europe which then sent peacekeepers and pressured the US Government to suspend further military action. However, soon after regaining independence, ethnic strife broke out with the Hispanic population demanding California be ceded to Mexico. Hispanic militants took over large portions of Los Angeles and managed to convince Mexico to send troops to conquer California. The newly formed Californian military was not yet operational, however determined local militias from scross Southern California managed to prevent Mexican troops from taking San Diego, but were unable to keep them from advancing north to Los Angeles. Requests for help from the Californian Government and several unprovoked attacks on European peacekeeping units and civilians led the EU to authorize defensive military action. When faced with overwhelming odds, Mexican forces rapidly retreated. In gratitude for European support, California vowed to support the EU, and eventually applied for and gained admittance to the EU forming a new transatlantic union called Cali Europe. With the inclusion of Californian economic and technological might, the EU surpassed US power and shifted global moral, economic, and military authority to Europe. With this newly found authority, the old weaker and inefficient EU capitals of Brussels and Strasbourg were moved to a single world-class city that knows what real leadership is: Bonn.
